Jan McGannon

Jan has held a number of senior public service positions in secondary teaching, organisation development and industrial relations, her roles have included responsibility for departmental and divisional reviews, industrial negotiation and facilitation and management of complex and sensitive policies and programs.

As a Director of MGN Consultancy, Jan has focused on sensitive and multi stakeholder program development, implementation and evaluation with a range of clients and environments. Her academic qualifications, and interests, are in sociology and social research. Jan is an experienced project leader of complex evaluations, including long term formative evaluations of major state government pilot programs in the areas of crime prevention, responsible gambling and community safety.

Jan is a Director of a Community Bendigo Bank company and is an accredited international reviewer for communities seeking recognition as a Safe Community under the World Health Organisation framework.

Bill McGannon

Bill has in excess of twenty years experience as a senior manager in human resource and social research environments with Australian and Victorian Government authorities. Prior to consulting, Bill was Group Manager, Research and Analysis in Premier and Cabinet’s Office of Public Employment (OPE), the then central government agency focused on people and workforce management in the Victorian public sector. In this role he provided strategic leadership for people management functions across 240 diverse organisations employing more than 220,000 staff across Victoria. Bill’s human resource management experience is extensive and includes specific expertise in workforce planning, remuneration, recruitment, selection and retention, diversity management, corporate governance and organisational change.

Since 2004 Bill has applied his expertise as a Director of MGN, offering a sound understanding of people management, program evaluation and social research to numerous organisations. In this role he has supported state and local government agencies and private sector clients in strengthening people management, community development, governance and research capabilities.
