Community Safety and CPTED

Creating safe, engaging, exciting and enticing spaces that are sustainable is a major opportunity for Councils to create spaces that ‘speak’ to community members and encourage them to enter and participate in community experiences.

MGN is a major provider of community safety and CPTED services to Local Government and have been consultants for 20 years. We are also providers of evaluation services to state government departments with responsibility for emergency management (including VBBRA and CFA) and have been the major provider of services to local government on CCTV- briefing Councillors, assessing issues of privacy, partnership with Victoria Police, analysing crime reported data and preparing funding applications.

MGN has developed innovative approaches to supporting major projects, from funding applications, CPTED assessments, briefing to Councillors, project implementation approaches and professional development for Council staff. A list of our CPTED projects can be found here
